Manchester United confirm two players are now going to miss Chelsea clash tomorrow

Chelsea take on Manchester United in the Premier League tomorrow, looking to make amends after their disappointing draw with Burnley over the weekend.

Chelsea drew 2-2 with Vincent Kompany’s men despite taking the lead twice and playing against 10 men.

Cole Palmer scored twice, earning the attacker a place in Alan Shearer’s Premier League Team of the Week, but some poor defending from the Blues prevented him from being the match-winner.

Chelsea now await what could be another tricky fixture against United, though Erik ten Hag will head into the game missing players.

The Red Devils have just been handed two injury blows ahead of their visit to Stamford Bridge.

Manchester United suffer double injury blow ahead of Chelsea tie

Right now, Chelsea have a lot of injury problems. It was recently announced that Romeo Lavia will miss the rest of the season.

Christopher Nkunku and Reece James are also still out, while Ben Chilwell missed the 2-2 draw with Burnley.

United, however, also have their own issues.

Their official website announced yesterday that Victor Lindelof and Lisandro Martinez will be out for at least a month after sustaining injuries in United’s last outing.

Both players will now miss the trip to Stamford Bridge tomorrow.

Who will win tomorrow, Chelsea or Manchester United?

The last time these two sides met, it was 2-1, with Scott McTominay grabbing a brace on the night.

Palmer scored Chelsea’s goal and the 21-year-old will be the man Mauricio Pochettino looks to tomorrow.

He has come up with 21 goal contributions in the Premier League for the Blues this season. If the England international has a good game, his side can win this.

However, Chelsea’s recent record against United is terrible, not beating their upcoming opponents in the top flight since 2017. This match has a draw written all over it.

Right now, talkSPORT pundit Andy Townsend thinks Ten Hag is in more danger than Pochettino.
