Brennan Johnson sends seven-word message to Heung-Min Son after Tottenham vs West Ham last night

Tottenham Hotspur were held to a 1-1 draw at West Ham United last night, and Brennan Johnson sent a message to Heung-min Son after the game.

Spurs’ results have been a mixed bag recently, haven’t they?

Ange Postecoglou‘s side battered Aston Villa 4-0 away from home but then suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Fulham. Spurs then picked up a hard-fought win against Luton Town but were held to a draw at West Ham.

Tottenham should be doing better against these sides, but there are a few positives to take. One player even hit a significant milestone last night.

Brennan Johnson sends message to Tottenham captain Heung-min Son

Tottenham started the game really well last night.

The North Londoners were on the front foot, and their attacking players looked in the mood to cause serious problems to West Ham.

Tottenham took the lead after just five minutes. Timo Werner got on the ball on the left flank and found Brennan Johnson in the middle with a brilliant cross.

The Welshman had to adjust his position to direct the ball goalwards, and he did that really well to put his side ahead in the London derby.

That’s Johnson’s fifth direct goal contribution for Tottenham in his last five Premier League appearances. He has now taken his tally to five goals and seven assists in 19 starts in the league this term. He is slowly becoming an asset to this Spurs team.

After the game, the Welshman took to Instagram – not to celebrate his goal but to congratulate his skipper, Heung-min Son, on reaching a very impressive milestone.

The South Korean played his 400th game for Tottenham last night.

“400 up for the 🐐 congrats Sonny,” he wrote.

Heung-min Son’s stats at Tottenham after 400 games is very impressive

It really is a phenomenal achievement to play 400 games for a single club, isn’t it?

Heung-min Son joined Tottenham back in 2015, and he had a difficult first year. However, since then, has has consistently been one of the best players in the Premier League. He is a world-class player.

In 400 games for Spurs, Son has scored 160 goals and provided 82 assists in all competitions. That’s more than a goal or assist every two games, which is a fantastic record for someone who has mostly played out wide.

The one thing Son has not been able to achieve at Tottenham is a trophy. We’re sure he would love nothing more next season.
