Report: What Mason Mount has heard about his Chelsea exit which has really disappointed him

Naturally, Mason Mount is a talking point going into the Premier League tie between Chelsea and Manchester United tonight.

Mason Mount was one of Chelsea‘s most important players during his time at the club but left the Blues for their rivals last summer after entering the final year of his contract.

A lot has been said about his exit, and it looks like the attacking midfielder is not too happy with some of the things that he has heard.

It will now be interesting to see what kind of reception he gets at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea look to have moved on from the 25-year-old, with Cole Palmer coming in and doing an excellent job. The former Manchester City player has done so well, insiders now believe he is the frontrunner for the PFA Young Player of the Year award.

How Mason Mount feels about Chelsea exit

According to reports, Mount does not like how his transfer from Chelsea to United has been portrayed in the media.

As per ESPN, Mount is disappointed at the fact that people have made it seem that his decision to join Erik ten Hag’s side was based on financial reasons when Chelsea were the ones who wanted to sell him to generate income.

What’s done is done now. The England international is a United player and will be looking to get one over his former club tonight when the Red Devils travel to Stamford Bridge.

It is a shame that it has got to this point. But football is football; not everyone is left completely pleased after a transfer for whatever reason.

Did Chelsea upgrade on Mason Mount with Cole Palmer?

While Palmer has spent most of this season playing on the right, he is quite a similar player to Mount.

Their best position is probably just behind the striker, while the latter can also start a bit deeper.

It would be fair to compare the two, then, and from what Palmer has shown this term, the Chelsea star looks like the better player.

His numbers are just phenomenal, registering 28 goal contributions in all competitions for Mauricio Pochettino‘s side.
