'I still feel': Theo Walcott shares who he thinks will win the Premier League this season

Theo Walcott has now been sharing his view on whether Arsenal can beat Liverpool and Manchester City to win the Premier League this season.

It’s been a long time since we’ve been treated to a three-horse title race, and Pep Guardiola is probably enjoying a fresh dynamic at the top.

If it was Mikel Arteta last year, then it was Jurgen Klopp pushing his side before that, and more often than not, the City boss has come away victorious regardless.

Don’t get us wrong, Guardiola will also be happy for those teams to drop away in the coming weeks, even if that now seems quite unlikely.

Arsenal faced a potential banana skin against Luton Town last night, when they made five changes, but given how resolute their defence has been this season, they were able to win at a canter.

Man City were similarly impressive, beating a strong Aston Villa team without Erling Haaland in the side.

And with Liverpool playing tonight against Sheffield United, there’s no issues expected there either.

All that being said, Theo Walcott provided his tip for the Premier League title following last night’s games.

Theo Walcott has nagging feeling Liverpool will win the Premier League this year

Speaking on the BBC’s Football Daily, Walcott understandably was backing Arsenal as a fan, but thought Liverpool would actually prevail victorious.

Walcott stated: “And to answer your question, I hope that Arsenal do it. But I still feel there’s something about Liverpool for me – it’s still eating away at me.”

Of course, Liverpool can go two points clear again tonight if they do win their game in hand at Anfield.

It’ll certainly be interesting to see if Klopp does make several changes in a similar vein to Arsenal and Manchester City.

Both Arteta and Guardiola clearly had the busy schedule and their European fixtures next week in mind with their respective selections.

And whilst Klopp doesn’t have a Champions League tie to contend with, facing Atalanta in the Europa League will be no easy task either.

The pendulum still hasn’t really swung in any particular direction since the return from the international break.

But it’s hard to disagree with Walcott’s tip for Liverpool to win the Premier League right now, unless something outrageous should happen against Sheffield United tonight.

That all being said, Neil Warnock also provided his prediction before yesterday’s games, and didn’t pick Arsenal either.
