McDonald’s has just launched a new promotion in Canada called the Remix Menu, which combines some of the chain’s most popular items.
You can’t get it in the US, but that doesn’t mean you have to be left out. You can make all the menu items yourself with a little bit of customization.
McDonald’s Remix Menu
The new menu will be sold at Canadian locations throughout April and consists of four different options, which are “twists on classic menu items” inspired by people’s innovative creations, McDonald’s said in a press release.
For example, the Chicken Cheeseburger has a chicken and beef patty, something the fast food chain has never offered before. There’s also an Apple Pie McFlurry, which combines McDonald’s two most popular desserts.
Here is the whole Remix Menu:
- Chicken Cheeseburger: A crispy chicken patty made with Canadian-raised seasoned chicken AND a juicy 100% Canadian beef patty, all topped with a slice of melty processed cheddar cheese, a tangy pickle, onions, ketchup and mustard on a toasty bun.
- Surf ‘N Turf Burger: Two juicy 100% Canadian beef patties AND a crispy, flaky Filet-O-Fish patty made with 100% Alaska Pollock, it’s also topped with two slices of melty processed cheddar cheese, tangy pickles, onions, ketchup and mustard on a toasty bun.
- Sweet Chili Junior Chicken: Canadian-raised crispy seasoned chicken topped with crunchy shredded lettuce, tangy sweet chili Thai sauce and mayo-style sauce, all on a toasty bun.
- Apple Pie McFlurry: McDonald’s cool soft vanilla serve swirled together with tasty caramel sauce and pieces of Baked Apple Pie.
McDonald’s has also teamed up with Lil Yachty for the promotion, who has created a remix of the original 1989 McDonald’s Menu Song.

How to order it in the US
The Remix Menu might not be available outside Canada, but it combines other food items, so you can order it yourself wherever you are in the world – you’ll just have to do a little bit of assembling yourself.
- Chicken Cheeseburger: Order a normal Cheeseburger and ask for a chicken patty on its own. The one from the McChicken or McCrispy would both work. Open up the bun, put the chicken inside and voila – a Chicken Cheeseburger!
- Surf ‘N Turf Burger: This one is the same, but instead of chicken it’s fish. This time, order a Double Cheeseburger, then ask for one of the fish patties from the Filet-O-Fish. Put it all together and you’ve got the Remix burger.
- Sweet Chili Junior Chicken: This one’s just a McChicken Sandwich, but with Sweet Chili Sauce instead. You can order a pot of the dip on the side and spread it over the bun yourself for a yummy Sweet Chili Junior Chicken.
- Apple Pie McFlurry: Order yourself an Apple Pie and a McFlurry. Then, break the pastry goodness into tiny pieces and scatter them on top of the ice cream for a flavor sensation that mixes hot and cold. Don’t forget to ask for caramel sauce too!
McDonald’s has just brought back one spicy menu item in the US for a limited time, and Breakfast Bagels have returned in many locations too.
