TV 'villain' celebrates 'huge milestone' in first official appearance since cheating scandal

Vanderpump Rules former star Rachel Leviss is celebrated one year being sober at the iHeartRadio awards. She calls the health switch-up a “huge accomplishment” following an on-screen cheating scandal.

Raquel Leviss, who is now referred to as Rachel, has made her first red carpet appearance since Scandoval. She had a seven-month affair with Tom Sandoval, who was in a long-term relationship with her friend, Ariana Madix.

Rachel Leviss celebrates one year sober

Rachel is celebrating her sobriety after Scandoval.

“I’ll be one year sober on Wednesday, so it’s a huge accomplishment, and yeah, I’m just really proud of how far I’ve come,” Rachel said in an E! interview.

The Vanderpump Rules star spent months in a mental health facility last year after Scandoval made headlines.

“I’ve been diving right into hot yoga, I’m doing Pilates, hiking, just staying really active,” she revealed.

Focusing on fitness so her “mind doesn’t spin,” Rachel is working on “creating a good community.” She spoke highly of her podcast, Rachel Goes Rogue, hoping to “help others in toxic friend groups”.

She unfollowed anything Bravo-related

Rachel revealed she unfollowed all of the Bravo sites, except for a “select few who are a little bit biased towards her side”. She said she “likes to at least know her voice is being heard.”

Although her Explore page is all Bravo, Rachel “likes to keep the people that she follows a good, mental, positive affirmations.” This is so, “when she leaves Instagram, she feels good.”

Reality TV isn’t a total no-go

Although Rachel wouldn’t return to “anything like Vanderpump Rules”, she hasn’t ruled out going back to reality TV completely. She said how “there’s a way they could create amicable reality TV.”

“If we keep working towards that and seeing what that could look like, maybe in the future, I will,” Rachel added. For now though, podcasting is where the reality TV ‘villain’ is at.

Leviss explained to E how she is “hopefully helping other people who have been through abusive relationships, toxic friend groups, that can relate to what I’m talking about.”

She added, “I feel like it’s given me my power back. And I just feel empowered doing it.”
