'Wonderful': Jurgen Klopp says he was impressed by two Manchester United players vs Chelsea last night

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has had his say on the dramatic game between Manchester United and Chelsea last night.

The Reds manager was busy with his side’s own game at Anfield. They were made to work hard by Sheffield United but managed to beat them 3-1.

Klopp was delighted with Liverpool‘s result, but since his side take on Manchester United next, he had one eye on the game at Stamford Bridge.

The German seemed impressed by what two Manchester United players did late in the game against Chelsea.

Jurgen Klopp impressed by Manchester United duo vs Chelsea

Manchester United and Chelsea produced a fantastic game of football at Stamford Bridge last night.

Erik ten Hag‘s side got off to a terrible start.

Conor Gallagher put the Blues in front after just four minutes. Cole Palmer then scored from the spot to push Chelsea 2-0 ahead.

Then, to many people’s surprise, Manchester United made a terrific comeback. Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes levelled the game with two goals in the space of five minutes before half-time.

After the break, the Argentine found the net again, this time after a tremendous ball from Antony.

Manchester United had the game in the bag at that point, but they then capitulated. Palmer scored two more to complete his hat-trick in stoppage time, and that won Chelsea the game.

When Jurgen Klopp was being interviewed by TNT Sports, Manchester United were 3-2 up. The German admitted that he saw Garnacho’s second goal just before he came over for the post-match chat.

The Liverpool boss seemed impressed by how well Antony and Garnacho combined for that goal.

He said: “I saw the 3-2 of United so they are obviously flying, they were 2-0 down if I’m right and now 3-2. We have an hour longer [to recover]!

“Wonderful goal, hey? Antony outside foot pass and then Garnacho with the header! That’s what I saw. But we played them only a few weeks ago so that will be a tough one, we know that.”

Manchester United result could be bad news for Liverpool

Manchester United are having a terrible campaign, but in what is a surprise, they have a great record against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool this season.

The Red Devils picked up a hard-earned point at Anfield in December and then dramatically beat Liverpool in the FA Cup last month.

Liverpool will still go into the game as favourites on Sunday, but United’s defeat last night after going 3-2 up could make things harder for Klopp’s men.

Ten Hag’s side will be a lot more switched on against Liverpool after what happened at Stamford Bridge. The Manchester United boss would’ve surely had a go, and that could bring the best out of them this Sunday.

It will be interesting to see what will happen this weekend, but we’re sure Klopp will go to Old Trafford expecting a difficult game.
