'Not bothered how': Ben Parker now predicts the score when Leeds United face Coventry tomorrow

Ben Parker has shared his prediction for Leeds United’s trip to Coventry City tomorrow afternoon.

The Whites face arguably their toughest remaining game of the season with Coventry still fighting for a place in the top six, and having been in some good form as of late.

Leeds go into the weekend occupying second place in the Championship but know any slip-up could be punished due to the form of both Ipswich Town and Leicester City.

It certainly looks set to be another massive weekend, with Ipswich in East Anglian derby action at Norwich City to start the day, and Leicester in action against relegation battling Birmingham City too.

Just two points currently separate the top three and the race has all the makings of an all-timer end to the season, with it now difficult to predict which way it could go.

Leeds will probably have to be better than in both of their matches over the Easter weekend if they are to come away with three points from Coventry tomorrow.

That said, even when not at their best, Leeds were able to pick up four points across two tough matches, which does bode well after a longer time to recover this week.

Willy Gnonto and Connor Roberts will once again be missing for Leeds, though Farke did have hope Ilia Gruev would return, which would be massive considering how sorely his absence has been felt.

Former Leeds defender Ben Parker has shared his prediction ahead of the game on the latest episode of the LS11 Podcast, and believes it is going to be a very tight game.

He said: “Out of the teams that we are facing, I always thought Coventry would be the hardest game we have got between now and the end of the season. Away from home, how good a team they are and Mark Robins has got them well-drilled.

“They were kick of a football away from getting to the Premier League last season, so it’s going to be tough. You want to go and play well but it is just about winning at this time of the year. Not bothered how, if we scrap a 1-0 win I don’t care one little bit. I think it will be tight, 1-0 win, sneak it.”

Whether Farke makes any changes from Monday’s win over Hull City is likely to depend on whether Gruev is fit enough to start.

If he is, it is almost guaranteed he will come straight into the starting line-up considering how badly he has been missed mopping up just in front of the back four.

His return would open up the possibility of Archie Gray returning at right-back, though Sam Byram was very impressive up against Jaden Philogene earlier this week.

Elsewhere, there is likely to be no other changes with Farke all but confirming Patrick Bamford will keep his place ahead of Mateo Joseph up front.
