A video has now emerged showing what Reece James did when Mason Mount was subbed on against Chelsea last night.

Posted on the Twitter of TNT Sports, the club captain can be seen in the background as the former Blue is introduced late on for Manchester United.

Mount jeered by Chelsea fans

There was a mixed response to him warming up before the game got underway, however were quick to chant in his direction when they had taken the lead early on.

Fast forward to the last few minutes though, and it looked as if the England international was going to have the last laugh as his side led 3-2 with moments to go.

That was until Cole Palmer had his say late on, scoring twice in added time to turn it around, including the latest winning goal in Premier League history.

Mount was greeted by a predictable showering of boos at Stamford Bridge, although one Chelsea player seemed to show his appreciation.

James claps Mount

In the background, James can be seen applauding his former teammate as he enters the field of play.

While Chelsea supporters were not afraid to jibe at Mount, they will in the end just be more relieved that they have a replacement who is continuing to star for them on a weekly basis.

Palmer moved tosecond in the top scorer standings in the Premier League with his hat-trick yesterday.

It doesn’t bare thinking about for Blues fans just where they’d be this season if he wasn’t available for them, and considering the fact that he was their last permanent signing does at least give a positive sign that those at the top know what they’re doing when it comes to additions.
