Harpreet and Akshay are The Apprentice’s entrepreneurial couple who first met on the business-focused show. Now, the pair are opening up about baby plans on their podcast – and Akshay wants 15!
The Apprentice‘s Akshay Thakrar and Harpreet Kaur are preparing for their wedding and are now thinking about popping out children in the near future. Harpreet says they’ll “learn to prioritise” with a family.

Harpreet Kaur and Akshay Thakrar accidentally found love on The Apprentice in 2022. Harpreet went on to win the entire BBC show, securing investment with Lord Sugar for her brand, Oh So Yum.
Two years on, the couple are still successful entrepreneurs and now run a podcast, The Couples Boardroom. They advise the future contestants to “exaggerate their personality” if they want to win.
She encourages them to “be themselves” but adds that it’s “not just about your business”. Meanwhile, Akshay says you need to “make yourself stand out more than anyone else”.
Akshay ‘wants 15 kids’ with wife-to-be
Akshay has a huge dream for his future family with Harpreet: and that’s 15 kids. However, Harpreet is having none of it and says she won’t be having that many children.
She tells Harpreet, who offers to change the nappies, “Okay, I’m not having 15 kids. But anyway, when we pop out children, our lives are going to completely change. Our priorities are going to change.”
Akshay agrees, saying that parents “naturally prioritise different things” over time. “I want to get our kids involved in our businesses. I’m going to take my kids to the board meetings,” he tells Harpreet.
The Apprentice champ ‘loves to work’
Harpreet still loves to work, two years on after winning The Apprentice. She acknowledges how she and Akshay won’t be able to work when they have a family, but says she “still wants to work hard”.
As they “love to work” as a couple, Akshay came up with a solution to their passion to work. He says, “Just get the kids to go on their laptops as well. Do you know what I’ve decided? Forget school.”
He adds, “They’re going to join the business. I will train them.” Harpreet then comes up with an idea to build an empire: “Make one an accountant, one a lawyer and one to do good housework.”
