'Great footballer': Harry Kane says he was so 'lucky' to play with one player at Tottenham

Harry Kane has sent a brilliant message to one of his old Tottenham Hotspur teammates this week.

The Englishman was the main man at Spurs for years. He was their best player and scored a ton of goals to help them win games when he was at the club.

Just before the start of this season, Kane received an offer to leave Tottenham and join Bayern Munich. After weeks of negotiations, a deal was agreed between the two clubs, and he moved to Germany.

Kane still loves Tottenham and has now admitted that he watches one Spurs star play every week.

Harry Kane sends message to Tottenham star after ‘incredible achievement’

Many people felt Tottenham would really struggle after Harry Kane left them last summer.

The England captain was absolutely unbelievable for Spurs. He was one of the best players in the Premier League during his time at the club, and many felt Tottenham would crumble after he left.

Paul Merson went as far as saying Spurs will finish in the bottom half of the table without Kane.

However, Ange Postecoglou has come in and transformed the club. He has done a brilliant job and the player he chose to replace Kane has been brilliant as well – skipper Heung-min Son.

The South Korean has been one of Spurs’ best players this season, and he recently achieved something absolutely incredible – completed 400 appearances for Tottenham.

Son has been receiving a lot of love since, and Kane, who already wished him on Instagram a few days ago, has now sent him a video message to congratulate him on that feat.

The Bayern Munich man also claimed that he was ‘lucky’ to have shared the pitch with Son on so many occasions over the years.

Kane said in a video released by Tottenham on X: “What’s happening, Sonny? I just wanted to reach out and congratulate you on 400 appearances for Spurs. Incredible achievement, mate!

“Obviously, I’ve been lucky enough to spend a lot of those appearances with you. So, it’s been a privilege, great guy, great footballer. Keep it going mate, I’m watching you every week, keep smashing it, keep scoring the goals, and I hope to see you soon. All the best, mate.”

The South Korean has produced some incredible memories for Spurs supporters over the years, so it’s hard to name just five of his best moments.

We’ve had to ignore a few, but here’s what we think are Son’s five most memorable moments over the course of his 400 games for Tottenham:

  • Scored twice on his White Hart Lane debut vs FC Qarabag
  • Won the Puskas award after his stunning goal vs Burnley
  • Scored Spurs’ first-ever goal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
  • Won the Golden Boot in 2021/22
