Predicted: Single change for Wolves as Moyes drops star after one of his best games yet

It looks like a single change for the Premier League clash with Wolves as David Moyes drops a West Ham star after one of his best games yet.

After the 4-3 defeat to Newcastle last weekend, West Ham bounced back with a 1-1 draw against Tottenham in the midweek.

Now David Moyes’ side travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers for a European place six-pointer.

Wolves go into the game off the back of a 2-0 to Aston Villa and 1-1 draw with Burnley.

West Ham will be encouraged by the fact Wolves are missing several star players including Pedro Neto, Hwang Hee-chan and maybe even Craig Dawson.

The Hammers will be missing number one goalkeeper Alphonse Areola.

Key man Alvarez back in West Ham’s midfield

Back-up centre-back Nayef Aguerd is being assessed after returning to training this week.

But there’s a big boost with the return of key midfielder Edson Alvarez from a two-game ban.

The Mexican has been sorely missed.

Moyes has already confirmed Alvarez will go straight back into the starting XI.

West Ham need his presence in the middle of the park. And it comes with the Hammers attack purring at just the right time.

So how will the manager line up for the crucial clash at Molineux?

Moyes makes one change for Wolves

We predict a single change for Wolves as Moyes drops a West Ham star after one of his best games yet.

With Alvarez returning to the side, Moyes faces a difficult decision.

But we believe he will drop James Ward-Prowse despite one of his best performances for West Ham against Spurs.

Since the turn of the year prior to his tireless display against Tottenham, Ward-Prowse has struggled to contribute at times in contrast to his excellent start to life at West Ham.

And that will count against him as Moyes makes his decision on who to drop for Alvarez.

Predicted West Ham team to face Wolves

The Scot could drop Michail Antonio and play Jarrod Bowen up top to keep Ward-Prowse in the side.

But that is just not an option at the moment with West Ham’s new-look front four looking so dangerous.

So it’s Alvarez in and Ward-Prowse out, leaving West Ham’s starting XI for Wolves looking like this:

Fabianski, Coufal, Mavropanos, Zouma, Emerson, Soucek, Alvarez, Paqueta, Kudus, Bowen, Antonio.

Ian Wright has delivered his prediction for West Ham vs Wolves and backs one player to be the difference.
