'Meeting booked': Agent now set to hold talks about 25-year-old's future amid Chelsea interest - Romano

The future of one reported Chelsea target could become clearer soon.

Of late, goals have not been too much of a problem for Chelsea.

Mauricio Pochettino‘s men managed to put four past rivals Manchester United in their 4-3 win at Stamford Bridge earlier this week.

However, the Blues have still been linked with a host of strikers, including Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyokeres, both 25.

It was claimed last month that Chelsea are prioritising Osimhen and RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko over Gyokeres.

Agent set for talks with club about client amid Chelsea interest

With it still being April, it is not quite clear what some of Chelsea’s targets plan to do this summer.

Last week, one Italian outlet reported that Osimhen has already informed his close friends his next destination.

As for Gyokeres, it looks like we could get some more clarity on his future soon.

Fabrizio Romano has claimed on Substack that Gyokeres’ agent Hasan Cetinkaya has a “meeting booked” with Sporting to discuss what is going to happen with the 25-year-old.

Nico Williams could join Viktor Gyokeres in Chelsea’s attack next season

According to the Daily Mirror, Chelsea representatives have been watching Gyokeres this term, so a transfer does seem possible.

As well as the Sweden international, though, the Blues are also thought to be interested in Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams.

Romano says he is a player who Chelsea really appreciate. Pochettino could have quite a different looking attack by the time the 2024/25 campaign starts, then.

If he does go on to add Gyokeres to his squad, it would not be a bad one, with the Sporting star scoring 36 goals this season.

If Chelsea had that kind of firepower right now, who knows where they would be? Of course, it is not certain that Gyokeres would be a success in the English top flight.
