‘I fancy them’: Glenn Hoddle has changed his mind about who’ll win the Premier League this season

Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City are battling it out to be crowned Premier League champions this season.

Mikel Arteta and Pep Guardiola both picked up wins yesterday, putting the pressure on Jurgen Klopp to take all three points at Old Trafford today.

Arsenal picked up a comfortable 3-0 win at Brighton on Saturday to move above Liverpool to the top of the Premier League.

It came shortly after Manchester City laid down a marker by beating Palace 4-2 at Selhurst Park following a Kevin De Bruyne masterclass.

The pressure is certainly on Liverpool ahead of a difficult trip to Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.

It’s arguably their toughest test during the run-in and Klopp will be aiming to exact revenge after the 4-3 defeat in the FA Cup at Old Trafford last month.

With three teams firmly in the mix for the title, we’ve seen plenty of former players naming their winners in recent weeks.

Ian Wright has backed Arsenal to get the job done, while Tim Howard recently admitted he’s changed his mind on the title race.

Now, Tottenham legend Glenn Hoddle has delivered his verdict on this season’s champions.

Hoddle changes mind on Premier League winners

Speaking to TNT Sports ahead of this weekend’s round of fixtures, Hoddle admitted he previously believed Man City would win the league. But now he is backing Klopp to pip City and Arsenal to the title.

“I went City at the beginning of the season but after looking at the fixtures, I fancy Liverpool’s fixtures,” Hoddle said.

Arsenal, Man City and Liverpool’s remaining fixtures compared

It’s fair to say that Arsenal have arguably got the trickiest run with seven games left to play. The Gunners face difficult away tests at Tottenham, Wolves and Old Trafford.

Of course, Liverpool also face a trip to Manchester today but Klopp is likely to be content with the fixtures ahead. As for City, they also travel to Spurs and will face Brighton at the Amex Stadium.
