Both victims were hospitalized in moderate condition.
The artillery strike also caused the destruction of a two-story residential building, as well as damage to private homes and outbuildings.

Nikopol and its suburbs are being systematically targeted by Russian drone and artillery attacks. On March 26, a 91-year-old civilian was injured, nine private houses, a gas pipeline, and a power line were damaged in dual Russian artillery strikes on the city.
On March 6, an Epicentr hardware store in Nikopol was virtually destroyed by Russian artillery shelling in Nikopol.
