Park Ladies suffer defeat at the hands of Leverington

Park Ladies produced a poor performance compared to their normal standards as they slipped to a 4-1 defeat at Leverington.

Again missing several key players which forced another reshuffle, the ladies also had to contend with the wind, which proved to be a major factor in the game.

Park struggled to get the ball down and play football as they shipped four goals in a one-sided first half.

Park did have a couple of promising breaks. Georgia Stimson battled hard to try and find a way through, the ball eventually finding Jade Foley on the edge of the box but her first-time effort went wide.

With the wind behind them in the second half, Park Ladies improved and they started to string some passes together.

Their reward came just after an hour, Stimson breaking through into the box and pulling the ball back from the by-line to a waiting Fran Plitsch who made no mistake from six yards out.

This weekend, Park Ladies are at home to second-placed Fulbourn.
