Liverpool might be planning for life under a new manager but that doesn’t mean their plans in the transfer market need to take a back seat.
The Reds, under FSG and now the returning Michael Edwards, are well known across football for having one of the best run football operations around.
That includes its transfer policy, which under Jurgen Klopp, has nearly always been spot on.
Liverpool’s recruitment model works
Indeed, we saw in the summer how the Reds went and signed the likes of Dom Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo and Alexis Mac Allister. All three have been outstanding signings, continuing the trend.
Of course, going into this summer, there will be a new manager in charge who may or may not have an idea on the players he wants to bring in.
That man might well be Ruben Amorim, with reports today suggesting a deal is close for the Sporting Lisbon boss.

However, no matter who the new coach is, it seems Liverpool are looking at potential new wingers.
And according to reports, that search has taken them to the Championship. This time, in the form of Leeds United star, Crysencio Summerville.

According to Football Transfers, Liverpool are one of the clubs who are keen on Summerville going into the summer.
It comes as the same report states that Leeds want to try and get the 23-year-old to sign a new contract, with the Whites already valuing him around the £45m mark.
Summerville has been outstanding for Leeds all season and has smashed in 18 goals alongside laying on another nine for his teammates.
Lauded by Daniel Farke as an ‘outstanding‘ talent, Summerville has also attracted admiring glances from Chelsea as well.
In terms of Liverpool, the report states that a move is more likely if Mo Salah or Luis Diaz leave this summer.
Indeed, it’s suggested that AC Milan could beat everyone to Summerville anyway, as they eye potential replacements for Rafael Leao.
