'This guy': Gabriel Jesus says 26-year-old Arsenal player is an absolute 'machine', he never gets injured

Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus has heaped praise on one of his teammates who is always available to play.

The Gunners take on Bayern Munich in the Champions League tonight, and in what is some great news, every player in their first-team took part in training on Monday.

That is a huge positive for Mikel Arteta considering that the biggest reason why his side failed to win the Premier League title last season was injuries to William Saliba and Takehiro Tomiyasu.

Jesus has also had his fair share of injuries over the last year or so, but there is one Arsenal player who always seems to be available. He has been branded a ‘machine’ now.

Gabriel Jesus praises Arsenal ‘machine’ who is always available

Injuries have affected every club, and Arsenal are no different.

The Gunners have been without Jurrien Timber since the opening game of the season, while Thomas Partey missed over 140 days due to injuries as well.

Gabriel Jesus, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Martinelli have all spent some time on the sidelines too this season, which hasn’t been ideal.

One player who has been available for all but one fixture this season is Ben White.

The Englishman is one of Arsenal’s most consistent players. He is almost always available, and his performances are mostly magnificent as well. He’s hugely versatile too – he can play anywhere.

Arsenal’s defence has earned a lot of plaudits this season, especially William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes for their performances at the back.

Jesus acknowledged their contribution, but he was quick to point out that other players have helped out massively too – like White.

“They [Saliba and Gabriel] are playing so good,” Jesus told TNT Sports. “They are having an amazing season and they are working hard. They are helping us and also it’s not only them.

“Ben White; this guy is always available, always fit and helping a lot. He tracks forward and then back. He’s a machine!”

Rob Holding’s crazy Ben White story shows how tough he is

It is no secret to Arsenal fans that Ben White has been playing with a knee injury for months now.

The 26-year-old Englishman plays a very demanding role in Mikel Arteta’s system, and it would’ve been easy for him to declare himself unavailable when he first hurt his knee.

However, White has always stepped up and made himself available this season, and his ability to play through pain has amazed everyone inside Arsenal.

This, however, is nothing new to those who follow all things Arsenal.

Back at the end of the 2021/22 season, when Arsenal were fighting for a place in the top four, White had suffered a very serious hamstring injury that would’ve ruled out any other player. However, he still played.

Here’s Rob Holding explaining that story on Tea with Timbsy: “The player who has real discomfort and injuries and just cracks on is Ben White. I don’t know how he does it. I have no idea how he does it.

“When we played Newcastle away in the Amazon year (2021/22 season), he would have had a grade two/grade three hamstring injury easily. His hamstring was shot to hell and he went out there and played.

“He’s a mentality monster, I don’t know how he does it. It’s mental. He’ll be in so much pain but he’ll just trigger into game mode and play. He’s die hard. He’ll run through a brick wall for you.”
