‘I just think’: Didi Hamann now predicts who’ll win the Premier League… Arsenal, Liverpool or Man City

Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City look set to battle it out in what could be one of the most exciting Premier League title races in recent memory.

With seven games remaining, just a point separates Mikel Arteta, Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola‘s sides.

You have to go back to the 2013-14 campaign for the last time three teams were gunning for the title.

That year, Liverpool missed out to Manchester City following a defeat to Chelsea at Anfield, with all three sides finishing within five points of each other.

It’s Arsenal who lead the way at the moment and Chris Sutton has already labelled them favourites for the title.

The Gunners currently sit above Liverpool on goal difference, with City just a point behind both sides.

All three sides have displayed consistency this season and you’d expect the title race to go right down to the wire.

With plenty of former players offering their verdict on this year’s winners, Dietmar Hamann has shared who he thinks will be crowned champions in May.

Hamann backs Liverpool to win the Premier League

Speaking on talkSPORT, Hamann explained why he believes the ‘Klopp factor’ will get Liverpool over the line.

He said: “I still fancy them [Liverpool] because there was nothing wrong with their play [against Manchester United].

“Obviously, they should have won the game. Then again, I’m not sure about the penalty that was given for Liverpool.

“If you look at the run-in, City probably fancy their chances as well but then again you can’t rule Arsenal out.

“But I just think that the Klopp factor that everybody wants to send him off with a perfect farewell, hopefully with three trophies.

“It may lead towards the Liverpool Premier League win. I still go with Liverpool.”

Champions League could benefit Liverpool

While Liverpool remain in with a chance of winning the Europa League, Arsenal and Man City face huge fixtures ahead in the Champions League.

City travel to Real Madrid this evening while Arsenal host Bayern Munich at the Emirates Stadium.

Should both sides advance to the semi-final, they will play each other over two legs for a spot in the final.

This could benefit Liverpool massively as it would lead to Arteta and Guardiola facing a testing run of huge fixtures towards the end of the season.
