Dairy Queen has reportedly revived a peanut brittle cone alongside the recent releases of the confetti and cherry-dipped cones.
This new Dairy Queen release comes shortly after the brand launched new and returning Blizzards for their summer menu. The current flavors include Peanut Butter Cookie, Picnic Peach Cobbler, Ultimate Cookie, Frosted Animal Cookie, Brownie Batter, and Cotton Candy.
A new cone from Dairy Queen
It’s been a hectic few months for Dairy Queen after they launched a plethora of new treats with returning fan favorites. In a recent post, the food news page Snackolator revealed that the Not-so-secret Peanut Brittle Crunch Cone is on its way back to stores.
“It’s peanuty flavor, a satisfyingly crunchy texture and colorful sprinkles throughout — and beneath that coating is the world-famous DQ® soft serve you know and love,” Dairy Queen told the Instagram page.
Fans seem eager to try the new addition to the menu, as one person penned: “I’ve been eating crunch cones since I was little, I live in Indiana but they pretty much always have crunch cones, same with Illinois as I was born there, but when I lived in Kansas they never had crunch cones.”
“We call it crunch cone in Illinois, I grew up eating these all the time (crunch cone blizzards are the best) I’m sooo happy, I hope it comes to the ones here in Cali,” another person said, while a third added, “Crunch Cones RULE!!!!!!”
The Cherry Dipped Cone is now in stores across the US
The Confetti Cone and the Cherry Dipped Cone are now both available in most Dairy Queen stores, Snackolator reported. The latter was reintroduced to the standard menu after its discontinuation frustrated fans across the nation.
“We know our fans love the Cherry Dipped Cone, and we’re excited to bring this sweet offering back for a limited time at participating locations,” a Dairy Queen spokesperson told TODAY last month. “We are always innovating our menus to showcase delicious new and fan-favorite flavors for our iconic dipped cone.”
It seems the return was well received as many Diary Queen customers declared that the Cherry Dipped Cone was their favorite.
“Need that cherry cone in my bloodstream now. Thanks, xoxo,” one person confessed, while another said, “Cherry. Always cherry. And fruity pebbles. The new one tastes too similar to the soft serve. Contrast is needed.”
