Brennan Johnson is one of the fastest players at Tottenham.
The Wales international is a true speedster, and, in all honesty, he’s one of the quickest players in the Premier League.
However, there is another player at Tottenham who really gives him a run for his money in terms of pace.
Indeed, speaking to Stadium Astro, Johnson has been discussing one of his teammates’ pace in the attack, and even he admits that he’s tough to keep up with.

Johnson spoke about Timo Werner’s pace, and he says that he’s actually difficult to keep up with on the pitch.
“Yeah I think he’s a player I knew about and I knew his qualities, he’s so fast and good on both feet, when he gets the ball and takes it down the line I feel like I have to be in position because he’s so fast and I have to catch up with him. It’s the same on the other side, when I get the ball to cross it he’s always in the right areas. I think even before the own goal against Luton he was in the right area, it’s just things like that,” Johnson said.
Timo Werner is so fast
Johnson is absolutely right to highlight Werner’s pace as a key attribute.
The German is absolutely lightning when he gets going, and while that makes him an exciting player, it’s also difficult to play with someone who is so quick sometimes.
As Johnson says, he has to get into position so quickly whenever Werner is on the ball, and that can sometimes lead to attacks being rushed rather than being well thought out and considered.
Werner’s pace can be a dangerous weapon, but, on the odd occasion, it can also be a bit of an issue.
