Manchester United are busy preparing for this weekend’s Premier League clash with Bournemouth as Erik ten Hag looks to get back to winning ways.

United lost in unbelievable fashion a week ago, conceding two injury-time goals to fall to a 4-3 defeat at Stamford Bridge.

We saw some fight from United on Sunday, coming from a goal down to take a 2-1 lead over Liverpool before eventually drawing 2-2.

Erik ten Hag will be looking to pick up a much-needed win this weekend as he takes United down to the South Coast.

Bournemouth hammered United 3-0 back in December and Ten Hag cannot afford to go into the FA Cup semi-finals with a similar result.

United must turn up this weekend and Ten Hag has been putting the squad through their paces at Carrington ahead of the trip to Bournemouth.

Zach Baumann in United training

We saw youngster Shea Lacey feature in first-team training on Wednesday with the 16-year-old given a chance to shine after battling back from injury.

Images from Carrington also show Zach Baumann in training too.

The midfielder was spotted alongside Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes as United players went through drills ahead of this weekend’s game.

This isn’t the first time we have seen Baumann in first-team training; he also featured ahead of the trip to Brentford in March.

It’s unclear whether Baumann will be involved in the trip to Bournemouth but he has at least been handed a chance to impress.

Baumann is only 17 but has seen Kobbie Mainoo emerge as a first-team sensation this season.

Baumann will surely have dreams of going on the same path as Mainoo and will hope to have caught Ten Hag’s eye in training on Wednesday.

Who is United talent Baumann?

Baumann hails from Bolton and has been in the United ranks since he was a kid.

Primarily a central midfielder, Baumann qualifies to play for Ukraine at international level and may have a decision to make over his future down the line.

The 17-year-old has played 13 times in the Under-18 Premier League this season, recording one goal.

Baumann has also stepped up to Premier League 2 level, scoring once in four outings.

United appear to have high hopes for Baumann and even if he doesn’t feature this weekend, he is talent we may well see in the first team one day in the future.
