"Even better": £7m Crystal Palace player admits what shocked him most since making Selhurst Park move

One Crystal Palace player has now shared his thoughts on the Premier League and what has shocked him since making the move.

For any player currently in the Crystal Palace squad, this season will have been a weird one.

Managerial changes have been met with some extreme lows but also highs, and now the club look to be heading in the right direction.

We saw this as Palace gave Man City a tough game last weekend despite a 4-2 loss in the end.

Now ahead of facing Liverpool this weekend, one of Oliver Glasner’s most regular performers has shared his honest thoughts on Palace and the Premier League since his arrival.

What surprised Daniel Munoz most since Selhurst Park arrival

Speaking with club media ahead of Palace’s trip to Anfield on Sunday, Munoz has shared his verdict on the Premier League and what his thoughts have been so far.

“First of all, it’s a great club. I have a compatriot here [Jefferson Lerma], and it’s a Premier League team.

“After playing in the national team, my dream had always been to play in the Premier League.

“When Palace’s interest first came up, it felt special to me. It felt like the move could happen, and that I could play at a place I wanted to play.

“It has been even better than I expected. I expected a top league but, being on the pitch, I realise that it’s the best league in the world.”

The £45k-a-week defender will be hoping this is just the start of his Premier League journey.

Crystal Palace must find form to keep Premier League status

This season, Palace have never looked like real relegation contenders, until now that is with a tricky run-in raising concerns.

This run is daunting for Glasner and his players who will be desperate to find points somewhere along this run.

But the best chance may actually come this weekend against Liverpool who have fallen apart over the past week.

From a commanding position against Manchester United, they dropped two points in a 2-2 draw.

This has now been followed by a 3-0 thrashing by Atalanta. Both these games have laid the gameplan for Glasner to follow.

We could now see a repeat of ‘Crystanbul’ from years ago when Palace ultimately ended Liverpool’s title charge.
