'This is big': Chris Sutton has now predicted result of Nottingham Forest vs Wolves

Chris Sutton has now shared his prediction for the Premier League clash between Nottingham Forest and Wolves on Saturday.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side received a boost in the relegation battle without even kicking a ball on Monday, after Everton were docked a further two points for breaching financial rules.

It means the Toffees are now just two points above Nottingham Forest instead of four – albeit with a game in hand – so those at the City Ground really need to take advantage with a win against Wolves on Saturday.

So, what does Chris Sutton expect to happen when Nottingham Forest take on Wolves? Let’s have a look…

Before last week’s disappointing 3-1 defeat to Tottenham, Nottingham Forest completely tore Fulham apart with a 3-1 victory of their own, so there is certainly a foundation to build on at the City Ground.

However, Sutton is not expecting Nottingham Forest to pick up back-to-back wins at the City Ground, and is instead going for a 1-1 draw.

For BBC Sport, the 51-year-old said: “This is big for Nottingham Forest, who need to bounce back from last week’s defeat at Tottenham.

“I always think Wolves are well organised, though, even if their results have dropped off a bit with only one win in their past five games.

“Wolves boss Gary O’Neil is still fuming about having a late goal ruled out for offside in their defeat to West Ham but I felt it was the right decision.”

The reverse fixture at Molineux back in December actually finished 1-1 as well, with Matheus Cunha equalising after Harry Toffolo put Nottingham Forest ahead.

Nuno needs momentum

It would also – hopefully – give Nuno’s side a bit of momentum going into next week’s truly seismic clash against Everton at Goodison Park, which could well be the difference between survival and relegation.

After that, a daunting game against Manchester City awaits, so positive results against Wolves and Everton really are crucial for Nottingham Forest, to say the very least.
