‘Easy deal’: Leeds should find it simple to sign £15m player if they go up – journalist

Leeds United are on the verge of returning to the Premier League.

The Whites are well in the mix to be promoted from the Championship, and if they do go up, they will need to make a number of signings.

Indeed, as good as Leeds have been this year, the Whites ought to know better than anyone else that the Premier League is a different kettle of fish and they’ll need to add to their squad if they want to compete.

However, that being said, there are a number of players in this Leeds team who are good enough to make the step up, and one of those is certainly Joe Rodon.

The Wales international has been fantastic for Leeds this term, and the Whites would surely love to sign him permanently.

Well, Leeds are in luck because according to Rob Guest, speaking on the Gold and Guest Talk Tottenham Podcast, a permanent deal for Rodon should be easy to complete if Leeds do end up going up this season.

Leeds should find it easy to sign Joe Rodon

Guest spoke about Rodon’s future at Tottenham and a potential move to Leeds.

“In terms of the others in the Championship. Joe Rodon is excelling for Leeds United. I think that should be an easy deal to complete, especially if Leeds win promotion to the Premier League, it’s a really exciting end to the season,” Guest said.

Leeds need to sign Joe Rodon

This should be the first port of call for Leeds this summer regardless of if they go up.

Rodon has been so good for the Whites this season, and it would be a massive shame if this partnership is brought to a premature end.

The defender is exactly what Daniel Farke wants from a centre-back, and even if it is to be another season in the Championship next term, Leeds should pull out all the stops to sign the £15m man.

Rodon should be at the top of Leeds’ transfer shortlist heading into the summer.
