Esthetician outlines the skincare routine changes you need to make for Spring

A beautician outlined a few of the skincare routine changes you should be making as the world enters Spring and the weather begins to heat up.

Skincare routines are as individual as the person who uses them, and yet, there are some general rules we all must follow for healthy, glowing skin. Naturally, as the seasons change and the temperature fluctuates, you might need to make some alterations.

How you should change your skincare routine for Spring

Last year, Kristin (@skinbykristin) took to TikTok with a public service announcement about your skincare routine during Spring.

Before you take a look at your bank balance and have a panic attack over the thought of purchasing a Spring-specific skincare routine, Kristin said that the changes only need to be small and manageable.

“Most of the time, when Spring comes around, we are going to need maybe less hydration and not as thick of a moisturizer,” she shared. “But listen, everyone is different. You know your skin. You gotta be intuitive and listen to your skin so you know what It wants and needs.”

If you’re not already applying one, then Kristin said to look into purchasing a pigment product for the warmer months. These are used to combat things like hyperpigmentation, redness, and sunspots.

Finally, Kristin urged her followers to use a serum for specific issues they might want to tackle before the Summer months roll around.

To recap:

  • A lighter moisturizer
  • An Anti-pigment product
  • Serums for specific issues

Followers had some suggestions

Many of Kristin’s followers thanked her for the beauty advice while others made suggestions of their own including more budget-friendly skincare products.

One person wrote: “Fiancé and I are creating our skincare routine together based off your Recs. Pigment inhibitor purchased.”

“We need a chart for each season with all the steps we should be doing,” someone joked, as a third said, “Thank you for this, my skin is breaking out and it’s stressing me!!”

A fourth said: “LOVE love love pigment bar from PCA!!!!!”
