Ross County vs Rangers: TV channel, kick-off time, team news, referee & VAR

Will Rangers finally get the chance to fulfil a Scottish Premiership away fixture for the first time since the end of February this weekend?

The probability is that they will because thankfully, Dundee are not involved. The fiasco surrounding the Dens Park pitch has been an unwelcome distraction for Rangers in their bid for the title.

Twice now Dundee vs Rangers has been called off due to a waterlogged pitch and the most recent postponement quite rightly prompted outrage from Rangers club officials.

Philippe Clement was on hand to answer questions from the mainstream press about the embarrassing situation on Thursday, with very little said about the challenge posed by Ross County this weekend.

But fans can be assured with this manager that full focus will be on gaining three points in the Highlands despite the midweek disruption in Dundee.

With a victory, Rangers will reach 77 points but are likely to remain a point behind Celtic given the Hoops are expected to beat St Mirren at Parkhead on Saturday.

Below, Rangers News provide you with everything there is to know about the Ross County trip including how to watch on TV, the latest team news, an injury round-up plus the appointed officials.

Rangers team and injury news

Thankfully for Philippe Clement and Rangers fans alike, the first-team squad has just one fresh injury concern after the 3-3 Old Firm thriller last weekend.

Midfielder Mohamed Diomande picked up a thumb injury against Celtic after playing 78 minutes. The Ivorian was then replaced by the returning Kieran Dowell.

Clement stressed Diomande’s injury won’t be long-term but revealed the issue required a surgical procedure, which was successful.

Elsewhere, long-term injury absentees Ryan Jack, Oscar Cortes, Danilo, Alex Lowry and Zak Lovelace remain unavailable for selection.

Referee & VAR

The on-field referee for Ross County vs Rangers will be Matthew MacDermid and his assistants will be David Roome and Paul McAvinue.

Chris Graham has been handed fourth official duties, while Andrew Dallas and Ross Macleod are the VAR and AVAR respectively.
