Alexander Isak was again key to a very good day for Newcastle United.
The striker bagged a fine brace as Newcastle made light work of Tottenham in the Premier League at St James’ Park, with Eddie Howe’s side running out 4-0 winners.
It was another fantastic day for the Magpies against Spurs, who rarely looked like threatening despite some early half-chances.
Isak made it 17 League goals for the season, further justifying all the hype about him of late.
Anthony Gordon, after all, predicted that the 24-year-old would go on to become one of the best players in the world should he stay fit.
Having won so convincingly against a team gunning for the Champions League, the praise amongst Newcastle teammates continued.
Indeed, Isak paid special mention to one Bruno Guimaraes.

Guimaraes played a lovely ball over the top for Isak to score his third, channelling the pass he pulled off against Manchester City for Isak earlier this season.
Speaking of the Brazilian to TNT Sports, Isak said: “He is excellent in all phases of the pitch. There was one time in the first half I went deep and he played it short, but then we saw they have the high back line, so for me it is about timing the runs and staying onside, then waiting for the pass to arrive.”
Bruno Guimaraes finished the job against Tottenham
At last, Guimaraes is free from the threat of a two-match suspension.
He avoided a booking against Spurs despite a clash with some of their players towards the end of the game, meaning his copy book is now clean.
That is some achievement from the midfielder, who may now feel far less shackled going forward for the run in.
Clearly capable of fantastic moments on the ball, his discipline in not having been booked since January is another string to his bow.
With Isak and Guimaraes, you have to feel that Newcastle have a chance of staying in the top six for the rest of the season.
