Furious Man Utd fans baffled at how two players played full 90 minutes vs Bournemouth, they were ‘total liabilities’

Manchester United fans are baffled by the performances of two players after the Red Devils secured a 2-2 draw against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday.

Bournemouth took the lead in the first half thanks to Dominic Solanke, who pounced on an opportunity after Manchester United defender Willy Kambwala slipped up.

Bruno Fernandes cancelled out Dominic Solanke’s opener and rallied United back into the contest, only for Bournemouth to deliver another setback for the Red Devils.

Justin Kluivert put Bournemouth 2-1 up before half-time after Willy Kambwala was left isolated and Diogo Dalot failed to pick up the 24-year-old Dutch winger.

However, Bruno Fernandes stepped up again for United and the Red Devils skipper pulled his side level against Bournemouth in the second half from the spot-kick.

The 29-year-old Portugal midfielder’s superb brace ensured the Red Devils secured a hard-fought point at the Vitality Stadium, with United failing to impress in the match.

United have slipped to seventh place in the Premier League table after Newcastle’s crushing 4-0 win over Tottenham at St James’ Park on Saturday.

The Red Devils are 10 points adrift from Tottenham and Aston Villa in the race for the Premier League top four, with only six league matches remaining this season.

Casemiro and Marcus Rashford struggle for Man Utd

Marcus Rashford and Casemiro were both among the Manchester United players who underwhelmed in the 2-2 Premier League draw against Bournemouth.

Casemiro has seen his influence significantly wane at Old Trafford this season and the United star looks a shadow of his prolific Real Madrid playing days.

The 32-year-old Brazilian midfielder remained on the pitch at the Vitality Stadium, despite midfield partner Kobbie Mainoo getting hooked off by Erik ten Hag.

Marcus Rashford, much like Casemiro, underwhelmed against Bournemouth and offered very little in attack for United when they needed him the most in the contest.

The 26-year-old United forward has been criticised this season for his lack of impact in the final third, with Rashford struggling with consistency in a Red Devils T-shirt.

United boss Erik ten Hag opted to withdraw Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho, with the pair being replaced by Mason Mount and Amad Diallo respectively.

Man Utd fans react to Casemiro and Rashford

United fans on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, slammed Ten Hag for not withdrawing Casemiro and Rashford after their lacklustre performances.

One Red Devils supporter branded the aforementioned pair as “total liabilities,” while another United fan called for them to be “dropped until further notice.”

“Rashford is as predictable as Antony,” one fan said.

Another added: “Amad literally is a far better player than Rashford and Garnacho, like there ain’t no debate [about] this.”

“But what happened to Rashford? Dude really fell off,” a third tweeted.

Someone else commented: “Casemiro and Rashford still being on the pitch is unbelievable. Casemiro especially.”

A fifth argued: “I’d stick two reserves on for Casemiro and Rashford. Two total liabilities.”

While a sixth posted: “Way too much protection over Rashford and Casemiro’s performance, genuinely one of the biggest disgraces to this sport.”

“Rashford and Casemiro shouldn’t be [on] the field right now,” somebody else tweeted.

And an eighth said: “Casemiro and Rashford should be dropped until further notice.”
