Fabrizio Romano says Italian clubs are now showing interest in ‘outstanding’ Liverpool player

According to Fabrizio Romano, an ‘outstanding’ Liverpool player is now attracting the attention of Italian clubs.

Just because Liverpool are uncertain about who will take over the managerial position doesn’t mean that the club’s recruitment team isn’t exploring potential transfer deals, both incoming and departing.

With Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes coming into the boardroom, there is a little bit of clarity about the direction Liverpool is heading towards.

And it promises to be a crucial summer ahead, with Edwards and Hughes likely needing to make plenty of difficult decisions in the coming months ahead.

Whether that is about the club’s new manager, potential targets to bring to Anfield or even players who they could consider selling remains to be seen. One thing is guaranteed it’s going to be a very busy summer transfer window for Liverpool.

The latest transfer news on Fabio Carvalho’s future

Fabio Carvalho was a player who arrived with a lot of excitement at Liverpool. He was one of the most exciting players in the Championship at the time.

Liverpool waited six months just to sign him after a move fell through in the January window.

When he started playing in a red shirt, he had initially created some exciting moments. He scored a last gasp winner against Newcastle United in front of the Kop at Anfield.

Carvalho also scored against Bournemouth and Manchester City during the first half of his Liverpool campaign.

But then he was exiled from the team, even though Klopp himself described him as an ‘outstanding’ prospect at the time.

Things have never worked out for him at Anfield and he was sent out on loan to RB Leipzig, where again Carvalho struggled for game time. He moved onto Hull City where he has finally started playing again.

His form has reportedly attracted the interest of Italian clubs according to Fabrizio Romano, who revealed on his X account that Carvalho is a subject of interest ahead of the summer window.

How is Fabio Carvalho getting on while out on loan?

Since arriving at Hull City, Carvalho has been in really great form. He has five goals in his last five games in the Championship, and seven goals in his last ten games.

In total, Carvalho has scored 8 goals in 16 matches for Hull City and has earned rave reviews both from his manager, Liam Rosenior and his teammates.

It remains to be seen what his future holds, but if he can return back to Liverpool in pre-season and continue this form, he may still have a future at Anfield as well.
