'Unbelievable': Pundit blown away by one thing Lionel Messi did for Inter Miami vs Sporting Kansas City

Apple TV pundit Kaylyn Kyle has lauded Lionel Messi for doing something ‘unbelievable’ in Inter Miami’s 3-2 win against Sporting Kansas City.

The 36-year-old forward enjoyed one of his best matches of the season away in Missouri as Inter Miami ended a five-game winless streak to seal a victory against Sporting Kansas City, with Messi scoring one and assisting another.

With rival manager Peter Vermes showering Messi with praise, the Argentine’s performance was one of the best since moving to MLS with Inter Miami, with the reigning Ballon d’Or winner now seemingly fully over his latest injury.

Messi praised for ‘unbelievable’ vision in Inter Miami vs Sporting Kansas City

Speaking on MLS Wrap-Up, former Canadian international Kyle was in awe of Messi’s vision and awareness in Inter Miami’s 3-2 win against Sporting Kansas City, with the forward’s assist for to Diego Gomez a moment of real quality.

The pundit said when detailing Messi’s performance in Missouri on Saturday night for Inter Miami: “It’s why he’s one of the best players in the world, it doesn’t matter where you play him on the pitch.

“Silencing the haters with everyone saying ‘he hasn’t shown up’ or ‘he didn’t look good in Mexico’, ‘can he be this player that Inter Miami needs.’

“He is so good both on and off the ball, his vision and awareness, he takes like 17 looks in order to get into the best position, he is unbelievable and so good for Major League Soccer.”

Herons now have their no. 10 back to his world-class best

Messi’s injury had been a real issue for Inter Miami in recent weeks, with the Argentine international also struggling massively in Mexico against CF Monterrey in the CONCACAF Champions Cup.

Yet Saturday’s display against Sporting Kansas City showed Messi at his absolute best, with the Inter Miami no. 10 looking like his usual world-class self in what was a fantastic MLS performance.

Indeed, if Messi can stay fit, there’s good reason to believe that Inter Miami can now go on quite the winning run, with the Herons’ sole focus only the league after losing to Monterrey earlier in the week.
