A new dating website has made enormous waves on TikTok for providing users with the ability to test just how high their standards are.
AI has only increased in popularity in recent years and it is now making its way into almost every facet of human life. From the new artificial intelligence being included in the iPhone 16, to the controversy surrounding sites like ChatGPT, there is clearly no escaping the tech takeover.
How to do the test
If you’re struggling with dating, whether that be online or in real life, you might have to adjust your standards to better suit reality. For some, this would mean looking upwards to greener pastures, while for others it could be aiming a little lower than Megan Fox.
Still, it can be difficult to know where you should shoot your shot. Thankfully, artificial intelligence is here to take the thinking away from you.
There is now a string of AI-run websites that allow daters to better assess their standards using data from the US Census Bureau and the Center For Health Statistics.
Currently, the website allows users to sort through potential matches using the following criteria:
- Age
- Race
- Height
- Minimum Income
Once you’ve entered your ideal soulmate’s details, the AI offers a percentage of America that meets your requirements alongside the actual number of people. There are versions of the site for both men and women.
TikTok is obsessed with the dating standards test
The websites were thrust into the light by singletons on TikTok, many of whom confessed to having higher standards than they initially thought.
One person wrote: “I don’t think people understand just how much excluding marriage and having an age range restricts it.”
Other TikTok users said the sites were a good jumping-off point, but they needed to be more comprehensive to be of real use. Some suggestions included filtering the results by State and adding sections on job type, weight, body type, hobbies, and pets.
