'I'm gonna' - Rio Ferdinand already makes his exact scoreline prediction for Man Utd vs Arsenal, Laura Woods instantly reacts

TNT Sports duo Rio Ferdinand and Laura Woods disagreed on a match prediction for Manchester United’s Premier League clash against fierce rivals Arsenal next month.

Manchester United’s top-four Premier League challenge is effectively over after dropping crucial points in their last five league matches this season.

The Red Devils have won only once in their last five league matches, with United picking up three draws and suffering one defeat.

United suffered a further setback on Saturday after Erik ten Hag’s men managed to secure only a point from their 2-2 draw against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

Erik ten Hag’s side are seventh in the league table and are level on points with sixth-place Newcastle, with United 10 points adrift from fifth-place Tottenham.

Aston Villa, who caused a stunning 2-0 upset against Arsenal on Sunday, are a whopping 13 points ahead of United in the race for Champions League football.

Unai Emery’s men have played one match more than United, but Ten Hag’s side are unlikely to finish ahead of Aston Villa in their remaining six league matches.

Despite falling short of the top four, United boss Ten Hag could still end his season on a high note if he manages to capture the FA Cup trophy.

The Red Devils have reached the FA Cup semi-finals and United will face Coventry City at Wembley on Sunday for a place in the final in May.

Ferdinand makes Man Utd vs Arsenal prediction

Manchester United have three Premier League clashes before they welcome Mikel Arteta’s title-challenging Arsenal side to Old Trafford on 12th May.

The United match will be a key fixture for Mikel Arteta, whose Arsenal side are locked in a three-horse Premier League title race with Liverpool and Manchester City.

Following the FA Cup semi-final clash against Coventry City, United will host both Sheffield United and Burnley at Old Trafford in the Premier League later this month.

The Red Devils then travel to Selhurst Park in May for their match against Crystal Palace before Arsenal arrive at Old Trafford for the United clash.

Speaking on TNT Sports, both Rio Ferdinand and Laura Woods went through the remaining league fixtures for Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City this season.

United legend Ferdinand backed the Red Devils to come out on top against Arsenal and predicted a 3-2 scoreline in favour of Erik ten Hag’s men.

“I’m gonna for a 3-2 Man United win,” he said.

Woods disagrees with Ferdinand on Man Utd vs Arsenal

Both Ferdinand and Woods backed Arsenal to beat Aston Villa 2-0 on the weekend, only for the Gunners to suffer a 2-0 defeat at the Emirates.

City have now opened a two-point lead over Liverpool and Arsenal after their 5-1 demolition of Luton Town in the Premier League at the Etihad on Saturday.

Liverpool, on the other hand, slipped to a shock 1-0 defeat to Crystal Palace at Anfield on Sunday, following on from their 2-2 draw against United at Old Trafford.

Woods, who is an Arsenal fan, disagreed with Ferdinand’s prediction and backed the Gunners to pick up a 2-1 win against United at Old Trafford.

“Oh, I am gonna go – I just realised I haven’t got them losing any games – I’m gonna say 2-1 Arsenal win,” she said.
