Noni Madueke posts eye-catching reaction on Instagram after penalty spat during Chelsea game last night

Chelsea winger Noni Madueke has now posted on social media in the face of last night’s embarrassing penalty debacle at Stamford Bridge.

He took to Instagram hours after Chelsea picked up a dominant 6-0 win, however threatened to overshadow it with their own antics.

The Stamford Bridge crowd were finally treated to a dominant performance from the Blues from start to finish, with Cole Palmer starring in particular.

Cole Palmer scores four for Chelsea

The England international moved to the top scorer spot in the Premier League as his four goals last night made helped him make it 20 for the season.

It wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows against Everton though, with a moment in the second half really disappointing manager Mauricio Pochettino.

After winning a penalty and picking himself up off the floor following a rough challenge, Palmer will have been annoyed to see a scuffle breaking out over who was going to take the spot kick.

This is despite it being pretty clear now that the 21-year-old is their go-to man for these situations, being perfect from the spot so far this season.

He maintained that perfect record with another strike, however it was clear Madueke and fellow frustrated attacker Nicolas Jackson were somewhat reluctant to get involved in celebrations.

With many believing the winger in particular was left not happy with the situation, his social media antics may have gone against this.

His Instagram post, which has comments limited, was a photo of the whole squad in a huddle before the game, captioned by a blue heart.

While it was likely frustrating for the winger to have not yet found the net at the moment of the penalty, the antics left Stamford Bridge frustrated to see happen, with it not being the first time someone has tried to take a penalty off Palmer.

It remains to be seen whether the moment will impact Pochettino’s thinking ahead of the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City.
