NSWE stance on Unai Emery future at Aston Villa emerges amid Bayern Munich interest

Aston Villa’s stance on Unai Emery’s future has been revealed after the Spaniard was linked with a move away from the West Midlands.

The 52-year-old’s stock continues to rise at Villa Park after transforming the club’s fortunes over the past 12 months.

Several of Villa’s players have developed immensely under Emery’s stewardship: John McGinn, Ollie Watkins and Leon Bailey, to name a few.

Sunday’s 2-0 win over Arsenal felt like a full-circle moment for the Spaniard. He was unfairly treated at The Emirates and was unfortunate to lose his job. The weekend win demonstrated that he’s among Europe’s elite and arguably a better coach than Mikel Arteta in the opposing dugout.

Of course, interest follows success, and Bayern Munich and Barcelona have reportedly discussed Emery’s name as both clubs search for new leadership.

Emery, departing Villa Park, would come as a considerable shock; however, considering the size of the clubs linked, an exit cannot be ruled out.

HITC have now shared the latest on how Villa’s NSWE ownership feels about Emery being linked to Europe’s elite.

Per the report, sources have told HITC that Villa are delighted with the job Emery has done at Villa Park and that there’s “no doubt” over his long-term commitment to the project in the West Midlands.

The Spaniard is also tied to the club for another three years, with his current contract set to expire in 2027.

Aston Villa given boost amid Unai Emery interest

The news will come as a significant boost to the Villa Park faithful. NSWE envisages the club as one of thePremier League’s elite. Their investment and long-term ambition cannot be questioned, and if reports are to be believed, Emery appears to be firmly on board.

Keeping hold of the tactically brilliant Spaniard will give Villa the best chance of becoming a consistent top-four contender. Behind Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola, Emery has to be considered the next best in terms of the Premier League’s elite managers.

Tactically, there are very few who can deal with the Villa boss.

His adaptable style and in-game management have proven to be critical components behind his team’s success this season. As Jamie Carragher highlighted on Monday Night Football, Villa baited Arsenal into pressing foolishly on Sunday, a tactic from Emery that ultimately won them the game.
