Attempted murder trial of Southwell plastic surgeon Dr Peter Brooks adjourned at Nottingham Crown Court hearing

The trial of a plastic surgeon accused of attempted murder has been adjourned.

The case of Dr Peter Brooks, of Landseer Road, Southwell, was further adjourned by Mr Justice Turner during a hearing at Nottingham Crown Court today, April 17.

It had previously been brought before the court for trial in July 2022, before being called off, and was further adjourned due to the defendant’s ill-health in May 2023.

Dr Peter Brooks' trial has been adjourned.

Dr Brooks, 57, is also charged with attempted arson with intent to endanger life, and possession of a knife.

It related to an incident in which Mr Graeme Perks, a retired plastic surgeon, suffered serious injuries at his home on January 14, 2021.
