Cricket season gets underway in Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire

Cricket season is back in the area this weekend and several teams across the district will be starting their campaigns.

In the Nottinghamshire Premier League Two competition, Balderton will be hoping to improve on last season’s results when they host Cavaliers and Carrington on Saturday (match start 11.30am) at Coronation Street, Balderton Playing Fields.

Under a new captain in Ryan Charlesworth, the side has made several new signings including Rex Whitehurst from Grantham Cricket Club, Chale Neshaharan from this weekend’s opposition and former Claypole captain Joe Attewell.

Former Balderton captain Tim Clipsham with new man in charge on the field, Ryan Charlesworth.
