Alexander Isak has admitted that he has a great connection with one of his Newcastle United teammates.
It feels like the 24-year-old can do no wrong when he steps onto the pitch right now, with Alexander Isak enjoying the best season of his career.
Newcastle United’s most expensive signing ever has been on fire in front of goal, and now has 21 goals in all competitions. He is really enjoying a hot streak, boasting seven Premier League goals in his last six games.
Isak is in contention to win the Premier League Golden Boot, and will fancy his chances of catching Erling Haaland and Cole Palmer. Every time Isak goes through on goal, it feels like he is going to score. His finishing has been clinical, proving that all his teammates need to do is supply him with ammunition.

And that is what they have been doing. Isak scored two goals against Tottenham on Saturday, and they both came from impressive assists.
Bruno Guimaraes was involved in both, with his incredible long range pass putting Isak through on goal for his second.
But Isak’s first goal was more about Anthony Gordon, who showed great strength to hold off Destiny Udogie before playing a wonderfully weighted through ball into the path of Newcastle’s number 14.
Isak did the rest, embarrassing Tottenham defender Micky van de Ven in the process.

It was a wonderful goal, made possible by Anthony Gordon. He is also playing brilliantly right now, and Isak has told the Chronicle what it is really like to play alongside the £40million man.
“It’s fun,” he said.
“He is a very easy player to play with, he has qualities, he’s really fast, and we have a good understanding.
“Sometimes you can play the ball 50 metres in front and you know he will get there. So he makes it easier.”
How many times Gordon has assisted Isak this season
Isak absolutely loves playing with Gordon, but his first goal against Tottenham was actually only the second time he has been directly assisted by the winger this season.
The other was against Liverpool, when Gordon played a gorgeous through ball to set Isak away in behind. They showed real chemistry with that goal, just like they did against Spurs.
On top of that, three of the penalties that Isak has scored have been won by Gordon.
Away from the stats, it is no surprise that Isak enjoys playing alongside Gordon. They are both so quick, while they are technically excellent.
But the player who has actually set up Isak the most this season is Bruno. The 26-year-old has assisted Isak three times this season – the second goal against Spurs, against Manchester City at home and against Chelsea away.
