Pochettino will have been given the blueprint last time out, with his side putting in their best performance of the season against Everton.

Here’s The Chelsea Chronicle’s predicted XI for the big one on Saturday.

A rare clean sheet on Monday for Djordje Petrovic was a welcome bonus, and will be a nice confidence boost for his start on Saturday.

Malo Gusto returned to the starting side and will continue his role there at Wembley.

Next to him, Axel Disasi will make his return after missing his first game since October due to injury last time out.

He will be joined by Thiago Silva, whose experience in those big games was sorely missed in the final of the EFL Cup.

At left-back, the game will come just too early for Ben Chilwell to start, and it will be Marc Cucurella from the beginning.

Moises Caicedo played arguably his best game for the club last time out, and will start in the middle of the park.

With questions remaining over Enzo Fernandez’s fitness, he will be partnered by Conor Gallagher, with the duo playing well together last time out.

This will allow for Cole Palmer to operate in the number 10 role with creative freedom.

Attack

Noni Madueke will remain in the starting side despite clearly ticking off the manager with his antics around the penalty on Monday.

This was the same for Nicolas Jackson, who found the net himself in the first half with a fine goal.

On the left, Mykhailo Mudryk will drop out of the side in favour of a returning Raheem Sterling against his former club.
