Report: Mauricio Pochettino is really considering starting 23-year-old for Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final

Reports have claimed that Mauricio Pochettino is really considering bringing one Chelsea player into his starting line-up for the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City.

According to the Mail Online, the boss is contemplating bringing one player into his 11 that did not start the game against Everton on Monday.

The Blues out in arguably their best performance since Pochettino took over last time out at Stamford Bridge, running rampant with a 6-0 win over the Toffees.

Cole Palmer stars vs Everton for Chelsea

Cole Palmer was the clear star of the show with his four goal display, however the midfield behind him did extremely well together despite little experience alongside each other.

The partnership of Moises Caicedo and Conor Gallagher worked well together, even though they were in the absence of one of their most important players.

Enzo Fernandez was nowhere to be seen on Monday night off the back of injury problems, with it actually being reported that he had been playing through the pain barrier for quite some time.

In his absence, it is fair to say Caicedo in particular had arguably his best game since joining the club last summer.

The dream has been for the two South Americans to form one of the most feared midfield partnerships in world football, however this has not really occurred up to now.

However, Pochettino is reportedly considering bringing the Argentine back into the squad as early as tomorrow at Wembley, with it being reported that a decision is expected from him today.

His inclusion is likely not to come in place of Gallagher, who instead will surely move further forward again.

It is likely one of those who started on the wing last time out that should be fearing for their place in the side, with both Noni Madueke and Mykhailo Mudryk at risk of dropping out at this rate.
