Report: Crystal Palace player is loved by Premier League club’s scouts, sale could pocket the Eagles £65m

For Crystal Palace, this summer is likely to be dominated by outgoings, before the incomings can be ramped up.

Oliver Glasner will have his heart set on recruitment this summer, handing him a team which is capable of improving for next season.

However, for Dougie Freedman, this job will be made significantly more difficult by the possible exits which have been hot topics since January.

Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise are two players who we expect will be at the top of many shortlists within the Premier League.

Marc Guehi is another who’s been the subject of rumours already. But now there’s one club who is said to be extremely keen on handing Palace their record fee for a sale to sign one of this trio.

Let’s find out who…

Crystal Palace could pocket £65m for Michael Olise this summer

Olise has long been linked with a departure this summer and now The Guardian have reported that interest is only intensifying in the French U21 player.

The report explains that Arsenal scouts have been very impressed by Olise, despite his limited league appearances this season.

Interest from the Gunners is in addition to both Manchester United and Manchester City as the three clubs most likely to make a move for Olise.

There was also an update on the release clause of Olise with a £65m label placed onto him, a figure Palace will be requesting.

Palace don’t have a choice in the matter, Olise will go if bids arrive

For Palace, the release clause has created a pretty daunting task of keeping Olise, given if it’s triggered there’s nothing that can be done.

Given two of the clubs interested will be Champions League sides, that’ll be exactly what Olise is looking for, as David Ornstein explained during a Q&A with The Athletic.

“If Olise leaves Palace in the upcoming window I expect it would only be for a Champions League club and, even within that, one of the small number of most prominent of those.

“He is said to be an intelligent/thoughtful player who knows exactly what level he can reach and will be clear in deciding if, when and where it is right for him to move.”

If he ends the season on a high, it’ll be impossible to keep him amid all this interest which will only increase.
