Callum Styles’ Sunderland future revealed

Plenty of first-team player’s future is currently up in the air at Sunderland. After failing to secure promotion to the Premier League, many are looking to move on in the summer.

The Blacks Cats are also still without a permanent manager which has only caused more rumours to spread.

One man whose future seemed undecided was Styles. The attacker is on loan from Barnsley and Sunderland have an option to purchase the winger at the end of the deal. According to Chronicle Live, like is now ‘likely’ to be activated.

Josh Murphy update

One departure that is widely expected this summer is Jack Clarke. The attacker has been Sunderland’s main man this season but this has caused widespread interest.

Numerous players have been linked to replace him, most recently, Oxford United winger Josh Murphy.

Coming through the Newcastle academy, Murphy has spent time at Wigan and Cardiff City over the years.

One player ‘likely’ to depart Sunderland this summer

With the end of the campaign approaching, the situation regarding the multiple players expiring contracts continues to gain pace.

One man whose contract will expire this summer is Bradley Dack. The midfielder has had a miserable time at the Stadium of Light since joining last summer, with injuries consistently hampering his career.

As a result, it has been reported that the midfielder will ‘likely’ depart this summer with Sunderland opting not to trigger his extension.
