Report: Arsenal told they can sign 'extraordinary' striker Mikel Arteta loves for just £52m this summer

Arsenal have now been told they could sign a striker Mikel Arteta loves for a relatively cut price in the coming summer transfer window.

Although the Premier League title is very much to all to play for, it’s been a difficult last seven days or so for Mikel Arteta and his team.

Yesterday’s win against Wolverhampton Wanderers was much needed, but the Arsenal players can probably still taste the previous two defeats.

Against Aston Villa and in the second-leg versus Bayern Munich, it ultimately came down to the finest of margins, which didn’t go in Arsenal’s favour.

And when Arsenal lose, which isn’t very often these days, it often leaves the feeling that Arteta’s team is still lacking a ruthless touch up top.

The kind of player who scores crucial goals in moments when little else is happening.

And although Leandro Trossard played that role yesterday, he’s not the centre-forward Arsenal need long term.

But having shown renewed interest in Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic of late, perhaps Arsenal could now be in luck.

Arsenal told they can sign Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic for a cut-price this summer

According to Italian outlet Tuttosport, Arsenal are once again very interested in the Serbian striker who has scored 17 goals in 31 appearances this season.

The report states despite Vlahovic’s good performances this campaign there would be willingness on Juventus’ side to do a deal with an English club.

A price tag of £52m was mentioned, which is believed to be enough for the Italian side.

Juventus’ bosses ‘would think about it concretely’, given they have already begun looking at replacements for the ‘extraordinary‘ 24-year-old.

Incidentally, the two names they are said to be looking at, Bologna’s Joshua Zirkzee and Bayer Leverkusen’s Victor Boniface, having also been linked with Arsenal themselves.

It would be a real surprise if Arsenal didn’t replace Eddie Nketiah with a new striker this summer, a move that would surely suit all parties.

And Dusan Vlahovic does have that winning aura about his game, perhaps someone who can spearhead this Arsenal team on a regular basis.

Of course, that then begs the question – would you disrupt Kai Havertz’s run as a false nine?

It’s a difficult once for Arteta to decide, but he is known to love Vlahovic’s skill set.

All that being said, Gabriel Magalhaes and Edu Gaspar were left blown away by one Arsenal player yesterday.
