'I understand': Rob Dorsett explains what the FA are doing about Nottingham Forest today

Sky Sports reporter Rob Dorsett has explained what the FA will do about Nottingham Forest today.

Once again, the Reds are going to be in the dock.

Yesterday’s 2-0 defeat to Everton was marred by three astonishing decisions that have left Forest absolutely furious.

The club released a statement after the contest that has seenForest criticised by Micah Richards and Alan Shearer among others.

Forest can expect another letter of apology from Howard Webb no doubt and yesterday he claimed he’d not spoken with anyone at the club yet.

Now, Dorsett has been on Sky to discuss the next steps, with it feeling increasingly likely that this might bite Forest on the behind.

Rob Dorsett delivers Nottingham Forest update

The Sky Sports presenter is the man with his finger on the pulse at the City Ground and now he’s delivered an update.

Forest will seemingly face some sort of sanction for their statement yesterday that mentioned Stuart Attwell and his support of Luton Town.

Naturally, there is likely to be a rule that Forest have broken and it would appear as though some steps will be taken today.

Dorsett said live onSky Sports: “I fully expect charges to follow.

“However, it’s quite a complex one; is it the club that will be held responsible, or the individual who has penned the actual post?

“I understand the FA disciplinary committee are meeting over whether to charge Nottingham Forest or not this morning.”

Forest should have thought before they posted

In a week where Forest will discover whether or not they are going to get any points back from their financial fair play appeal, this might not be the best look.

It does feel a little bit as though the powers that be don’t want Forest in the Premier League, however. Either that or the decision to appoint Mark Clattenburg has proved unpopular.

Forest need to think before they post on social media in the future. Lots of clubs have been disgruntled this season with VAR and the Reds aren’t alone.

However, other clubs haven’t had quite so many letters of apology sent their way and perhaps the club does have a right to be frustrated.

Forest have a proud history and as Dorsett explains, the Reds might now face the club’s name being dragged in front of a disciplinary panel once again.

The end of the current campaign simply can’t come soon enough!
