Russian air strikes impact operations of Ukraine’s largest agricultural company

Owned by businessman Andriy Verevskyi, Kernel is the largest privately-owned holder of arable land in Ukraine.

"The [Russian] assaults has brought numerous key facilities to a halt, including them oilseed processing plants, cogeneration power plants, grain elevators, and the company’s export terminals," the company said.

Additionally, repeated Russian air strikes on the Chornomorsk port in Odesa Oblast have disrupted railway services to the port, strangling export output and increasing transportation costs.

Ukraine’s railway operator UZ restricted railway connection to Chornomorsk on April 11, following a series of Russian missiles attacks. With urgent repairs underway, the restrictions were finally lifted on April 22.
