Sheffield Wednesday captain Barry Bannan appeared on talkSPORT on Tuesday morning.
Bannan joined Jeff Stelling and Ally McCoist on talkSPORT on Tuesday morning.
He discussed a number of things including that memorable 3-1 win at Blackburn Rovers on Sunday, and manager Danny Rohl too.
Bannan also discussed his future; not only at Sheffield Wednesday but in football in general.
Barry Bannan drops hint on Sheffield Wednesday future
Before speaking to talkSPORT, Bannan dropped a huge hint on his Sheffield Wednesday future.
Teammate Liam Palmer took to Instagram to congratulate Bannan on making his 400th appearance for the Owls over the weekend.
And Bannan replied with: ‘Cheers brother pleasure too mate 9 years and maybe more’.

Then on talkSPORT, McCoist asked Bannan how he feels in his body, now aged 34 and having just reached that landmark 400th appearance for the Owls.
Bannan replied:
“I don’t think I feel my age yet. But I spoke to ex pros in the past about this and they say it just creeps up and it has you before you know it. But I’ve played a lot of games this season, again in all nearly 90 minutes, so I still feel myself, and I feel as if I’ve still got a lot to give. So hopefully I can keep going for as long as possible because I love football, and I want to keep doing it for as long as my body lets me.”
What Barry Bannan must do now
First thing first; Sheffield Wednesday have to beat the drop.
Then expect Bannan and all involved to take a short break from all things football, before then diving right into discussions regarding his future.
Bannan is not the only player for Wednesday to make a decision on with a number of first-team players also out of contract.
But Bannan may be one of the most important contract decisions to make.
And for the Scot, taking it year after year might be his best bet.
He’s not shown any signs of slowing down this season having featured 40 times in the Championship, and like he says, playing the full 90 minutes in most of them.
And he’s still a real livewire in the midfield and someone with huge quality too, so there’s good reason for Rohl and Sheffield Wednesday to keep Bannan beyond this season.
But one day, like Bannan alludes to, his legs could simply go.
Bannan and indeed the fans won’t want to see him fall short in any way and so taking it one season at a time might be the best thing for him now.
Sheffield Wednesday return to action against West Brom at Hillsborough this weekend.
