'So angry': What Nottingham Forest bosses wanted to do at halt-time vs Everton - journalist

Sky Sports reporter Rob Dorsett has shared what Nottingham Forest wanted to do at half-time of their 2-0 defeat to Everton in the Premier League.

The Reds were beaten by the Toffees to leave their top-flight status in question after two seasons back in the big league.

Forest weren’t particularly good during the game – but Stuart Attwell who was working on VAR certainly didn’t help.

The official failed to give Forest three penalties during the clash, with referee Anthony Taylor not sent to the monitor for any of the incidents.

Yesterday, Attwell was named by UEFA as one of England’s representatives on VAR at Euro 2024 – much to the dismay of Forest fans.

Now, Dorsett has explained what Forest wanted to actually do at half-time of their game against Everton – and it’s not good!

What Nottingham Forest wanted to do at half-time against Everton

Well, this is quite remarkable and it’s fair to say that Forest have caused quite a stir since their defeat on Merseyside.

Forest released a statement at full-time, questioning that they weren’t keen on the VAR, Attwell, being a Luton fan.

This response from Forest drew criticism from Alan Shearer and Micah Richards but had the club had their way things might have been different.

Now, according to Rob Dorsett of Sky Sports, Forest actually wanted to put the statement out at half-time of the game!

It’s claimed that the club were talked down by the club’s media chief but they were livid even before the third incident.

Forest had three penalty shouts – all involving Ashley Young – and it’s actually scandalous that none of them were given.

Forest statement is wide of the mark but actions are required

It wasn’t a good read from the club when they posted shortly after the full-time whistle.

However, things would have been so much worse had the club decided to post what they did during the game!

Forest have to be careful when questioning the integrity of match officials – but ultimately, the Reds are right to question the constant decisions being made against them.

The club have frankly had enough. It’s every single week at the moment and it simply won’t do.

More Premier League clubs should be banging on the door of PGMOL chief Howard Webb and hopefully, this can be the start of clubs demanding higher standards from the powers that be.
