Ahead of Crystal Palace welcoming Newcastle to Selhurst Park this evening, Chris Sutton has dropped his prediction for the game.
Two wins on the bounce will have Crystal Palace‘s confidence sky-high heading into another week of tough fixtures.
The 5-2 win over West Ham was probably the biggest win of the season and the most obvious sign of the impact Oliver Glasner is having at the club.
This of course succeeded the 1-0 win over Liverpool the prior week, two big wins over tough opposition which will have Newcastle fearing the dynamic front three of Eberechi Eze, Michael Olise and Jean-Philippe Mateta.
But now, BBC pundit Chris Sutton has predicted the outcome of the game, here’s what he’s said.

Chris Sutton predicts two players to shine vs Newcastle
As we build up to Palace against Newcastle, Sutton has written his predictions for the game on the BBC Sport website.
During his prediction, he felt obliged to heap praise onto two of Glasner’s players who will be vital against Newcastle.
“Crystal Palace will be buzzing off the back of their big win over West Ham on Sunday.
“Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise sparkled again alongside Jean-Philippe Mateta up front and having those two back fit has been huge for new Eagles boss Oliver Glasner in terms of increasing his side’s attacking threat.”
Continuing, Sutton has made his scoreline prediction.
“Newcastle have found a bit of form recently too, but I fancy Palace to edge it.
“They look completely safe from relegation now so they can play with a bit of freedom, but Eze and Olise will make the difference.”
He concluded by stating that he sees the Eagles winning 2-1, which would be hugely impressive from Glasner and another sign to be confident over next season.

Sutton’s prediction says it all about Crystal Palace
For Sutton to predict Palace defeat Newcastle is a massive sign of the change that has been undergone at the club.
Up until probably the West Ham game, Sutton had very rarely predicted three points for Palace.
But this has clearly changed, as now facing the team in sixth, Sutton still believes that the Eagles will triumph.
We all knew Glasner was a huge upgrade, but not many would have predicted things to develop so quickly.
Ultimately, the summer remains huge and we still need to strengthen to push on from this solid foundation Glasner has helped build.
