Crews extinguish large bonfire in Wisbech

Two fire crews were called out to put a bonfire which was “well alight” in some open land in Wisbech.

Crews from Wisbech and Outwell were called to the scene on Sandyland in Wisbech at 8.04pm yesterday evening.

Firefighters arrived to find a large bonfire, using hose reels they extinguished the fire.

Crews left the scene at 11.25pm, the cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
