‘The sky is the limit’: Joe Cole says Chelsea have a youngster who could be an ‘absolute legend’

It’s not all doom and gloom at Chelsea right now.

Yes, the Blues have just been hammered 5-0 by Arsenal, but if you’re an optimist there are plenty of positives to find at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea did beat Everton 6-0 the week prior, and, of course, that match was the scene of one of the performances of the season from Cole Palmer.

The 21-year-old was electric against Everton as he has been all season long, and speaking to JOE, Joe Cole has now been full of praise for Palmer.

Indeed, according to Cole, the Chelsea attacker could go down as one of football’s all-time legends when all is said and done.

Cole Palmer can be a legend

Cole spoke about Palmer and how high he thinks the Chelsea star can go.

“He could leave the sport as an absolute legend of the game. He’s that kind of talent. He’s a hard player to coach because nothing stands out. My thing with Cole would be to just keep doing what you’re doing. The sky is the limit, he’s one who’s missed us all, we always knew he was talented, but we didn’t know he’s as good as he is. Football wise there isn’t much he can’t do,” Cole said.

Cole Palmer is Chelsea’s future

Whether or not Palmer can become a legend in the game largely depends on whether or not Chelsea can get their acts together.

If Chelsea get back on track, there’s no reason why Palmer can’t be the main man for the Blues in a number of successful campaigns in the coming years in the same way the likes of Eden Hazard and Frank Lampard were before him.

Palmer has proven this season that he has what it takes to reach the very top, and if he gets the right support around him, he could well go down as a legend at Chelsea.
